Gray Screen On Hp Pavilion Laptop Due To Graphics Card? Help Me Please!!!!!?
I was playing world of war craft one day on my computer and all of a sudden the screen blinked rapidly and shut off. I proceeded to turn off my computer and restart it when it came back on it said that the error was due to Nvadia Graphics Driver. I thought maybe it was a glitch and ignored it. After I played WOW a second time it did the same thing and shut off and restarted so I waited and it went to a black screen and then a gray screen and would not do anything but restart from there. I left it alone for 24 hours and turned it on the next morning; it worked and after testing a different part of WOW just shut off for good. Whenever the computer is turned on all it does now is stay on a gray screen. My husband had said it was probably the graphics card so I was wondering if that’s what it could be? This is what kind of computer I have: HP Pavilion dv9800 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC Please help if you can I use the computer for everything and we really don’t want to pay to have the warranty extended just for this problem (its 50$ just for two weeks.)

It could be the Nvida card on the board. If it is the board needs to be replaced. You can try hooking to an external monitor and see if that works.
