How Do I Troubleshoot My Dell Inspiron Keyboard?
I have a Dell Inspiron 5000 laptop and the keyboard is not working. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, connecting a USB keyboard (which works) and reseating the cable from the keyboard. How can I tell if it’s dead or not?

take it in and have a professional look at it. It seems like you don’t have a hardware background, so it is best not to play. Perhaps it is as simple as a ribbon cable that has come un-done, or something, but it is something that you may not want to mess around with.
Good luck.
