My Hp Dv6000 Laptops’s 3 Usb Ports Have All Stopped Working; Bios, Vista, Usb Drivers All Updated. Help!?
I have an HP dv6000 Pavilion — all 3 USB ports don’t recognize USB drive, printer, or digital camera when plugged in now — they don’t show up at all. Drivers have been un- and re-installed, are supposed to be up to date. BIOS was reflashed and Vista SP1 installed. What can I do?

Sounds like a USB Root Hub problem I once had.
Try this trick:
Go to Start/Run (click the Start button and then click Run)
Type: Devmgmt.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
In the list that will appear (expand it with the plus sign if you don’t see it entirely), find the Universal Serial Bus controllers section (should be the last one in the list).
Expand this section with the + sign to see it entirely (if it’s not already fully opened).
You should see one entry (or several entries) for USB Root Hub, right click every one of those and choose Uninstall, then restart your computer.
Windows Vista should replace these drivers automatically.

NOTE: For more information on your portable, check its exact model number (sticker on the underside) as there are 48 variations of this laptop and once you have noted it on a piece of paper, go here: http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_…
Once you land on the page, locate your exact model number and click on it.
This will bring you to a page full of information on your laptop.
