The correct driver- whatever that is- doesn’t show up as an option. I have a backup printer that is not a copier and scanner. Both were free, so I don’t mind using the backup and selling the Dell.
I was trying to free up some space on my inspiron 6000 so I unistalled a few programs that had not been used in a very long time… Now when I restart my computer it tells me that new hardware has been found and to insert the disk to install… I have tried all of the disks I have from Dell and nothing is working. Under device manager there is a yellow question mark next to Video controller (vga compatible). I have tried several different drivers that I thought would work. Any suggestions???

I just recently reformatted my hard drive. i have a windows xp dell dimension 4550. I now am re installing all the drivers and i installed the audio and network but i still need to download “video controller (vga compatible), and “sm bus controller” (that’s what there called under device manager) plz help!!!
