Ubuntu Sound Problem.. Hp Pavilion Dv5 Laptop?

Hi.. I have a HP pavilion Dv5 Laptop and ive installed Ubuntu 9.04. It also has Windows vista basic and sound works perfectly in vista.
In ubuntu, sound works if i plug in speakers or headphones into the jack but the integrated speakers are not working.I dont think somethings wrong with the sound drivers or integrated speakers since speakers work in vista and i hear sound if i plug in speakers or headphones.
I checked everything and its not muted. I checked the alsa drivers and its fine. I think the system is unable to locate the speakers.
Could anyone help me out fix the integrated speakers?
Thanks in advance!
